
PERSONAL PROFILE

Sabrina is a freelance consultant who is currently working as an advisor/expertise for national NGOs, community-based organization, as well as a social enterprise women and family empowerment center in Indonesia. Sabrina provides technical advices in Program and Project Development for different issues include gender-based violence, human women rights, human trafficking, and women socio economic empowerment.
She was graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration, earning bachelor’s and master’s degree in International Business and Finance Management at Lincoln University in San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California. In addition, Sabrina earned her certificate in Marketing at UC Berkeley. She also took a training and classes at an Asian-Pacific Women’s Rights Advocacy and Services for Domestic Violence Counselor and Language-Victims Advocate certification. Of that brought her to work as gender-based violence expertise, community development, victims counseling and advocacy consultant for different community-based organizations, government funded agencies and national NGOs--including Asian Women’s Shelter, Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach, and San Francisco Department on The Status of Women.
Sabrina started her career in investment banking, technology service, and journalism before switching full gear to social justice work. This lead her to start a social movement and form community-based organization in San Francisco Bay Area where she worked with migrant workers for counseling, training and advocacy.In terms of social justice work, she has experienced for over 12 years on the ground in both USA and Indonesia. Her background includes Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence, Women and Human rights, Migrant Workers, Community Empowerment and Advocacy. She has helped national organizations and government-funded agencies for assessment, monitoring and evaluation of their development projects.
She co-founded a community based organization on movement and marginalized groups (women migrant worker, low-income immigrant, women facing violence) in San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California.
She also volunteered as an active member of Barack Obama’s Organizing For Action San Francisco Chapter. Her activities include attending town hall meetings, and mobilizing communities and encouraging them to bring up pressing issues such as immigration and violence against women to Congress and Senate office, as well as meetings with staffs of Congress and Senate members.
Between 2009 and present, along with many different organizations and agencies, she has worked with responsibility for women human rights training with gender perspective and gender based violence. She was assigned as a panelist and presenter at international conferences include UN Women’s Commission On The Status Of Women in New York City as part of San Francisco Department On The Status Of Women delagate, as well as Indonesian Diaspora in New Orleans and Jakarta representing her community-based organization in San Francisco Bay Area--ICOC SF.
She continued her involvement on women human rights and gender violence in Indonesia with different National NGOs and government agencies, including Indonesia For Humanity and National Commission on Violence Against Women. And now with a women and family empowerment center, Pulih At The Peak.
Her other recent work includes providing technical advice to fellow terrorism researchers in the psychological and mental dynamics of Indonesian female Islamist jihadist returnees/deportants from Syria.
In addition, along with a group of interns, Sabrina recently created a book module about Girl Power and at the moment is working on a Peer Support training book module with her mentees for Pulih At The Peak.
Furthermore, she is currently a national coordinator for a community-based organization that is an affiliation of President Jokowi’s nawacita research institution. The organization is focusing on women socio-economy and political empowerment particularly for homemakers.
Since 2006, she involves in training on women’s human rights and violence against women, strategic planning and workshop as resource person, facilitator, counselor, or trainer.
