To represent the women in each of their districts, identifying issues and needs that are inherent to the members--particularly related to intolerance, extremism, terrorism, and radicalism that need to be addressed. This committee, through the coordinators also has made a commitment to the community and social issues within their local neighborhood, by conducting events about intolerance, anti-radicalism and women empowerment.
Communication with the local women’s rep on the responsibilities they have for their local (events, posting material, reports)
Handling press/media inquiries.
Assisting in organizing local events with local coordinators: creating proposals, budgeting, and making written reports
Liaise with local coordinators on issues that have been identified to them
Participate, where possible, in local district committee meetings
Provide a written report to the chairperson prior to all events
Ensure all communication, posters, information, community social campaigns, and social media are updated
Participate in Women’s conferences and networking
Follow through on action plans, outlined timeframes and commitments for next events

Helped develop plans to win Barack Obama’s campaigns by assessing opportunities for building political support for his agenda through coalition-building, grassroots organizing, media coverage, and message development.
Assisted in building relationships and mobilizing support with key constituencies, from professionals, business owners, and students, to local elected officials and families.
Provided support to local spokespersons for Barack Obama’s campaigns through tactics like media events, press releases.
Gave assistance in distributing and developing grant proposals, building relationships with local political campaign staffs, and meeting with major donors, all to bring more resources to his campaigns.
