  • Assisted crime victims with their participation in the criminal justice system, including case status, court support and accompaniment as well as other related activities.

  • Offered information and made appropriate needs based referrals to hospitals, clinics, mental health facilities, welfare offices, child care, emergency resources and community based organizations.

  • Assisted criminal justice personnel in fulfilling their duties to victims of crime through advocacy, case consultations and training.

  • Worked with assistant district attorneys, Federal Bureau investigators and police inspectors in case development consultations and training.

  • Provided educational presentations in Bahasa Indonesia and English to community, public and neighborhood groups for the purpose of educating, developing collaborations, building inter-community relationships and advocating for the prevention and treatment of criminal acts.

  • Correspondence: Wrote news and articles (mostly in Bahasa Indonesia) about lifestyle, entertainment, education, and social issues about Americans, Indonesian-Americans, and Indonesians in America; also local and national events in America, particularly Northern California. Performed telephone and in-person interviews both in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

  • Marketing: Acted as Marketing Executive, duties include promote our magazine through emails, mailings, and in person at various community events; Performed business deals and negotiations to prospective advertisers; Developed and delivered presentations about benefits of advertising with Kabari and the advantages of subscribing to Kabari to various communities in the Bay Area. Conducted in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
